<p>My hero is Somaly Mam. When she was a girl she was sold into sex slavery. Then after being forced to watch her captors kill one of her friends, she found a way to escape. Once free, however, she did not keep running. She could not forget about all the girls she had left behind. That's when she decided to dedicate her lifw to rescuing girls from the unspeakable horrors of the life she had left behind. She then started the organization that is now the Somaly Mam Foundation. She  and her organization have freed 5,000 girls</p>
